The iWANDeR Testbed currently consists of laptops functionings as mobile stations communicating to fixed PC's acting as base stations. The base stations are connected to the backbone network through an ATM network interface via the iPOINT ATM Switch. The wireless interface consists of Netwave Airsurfer Plus PC-Cards operating in the 2.4 GHz band at 1 Mbps. The base station runs Linux for ease in development of the Quality-of-Service enabled scheduler.
