The Goal of the iWANDeR Research is to develop
algorithms and software that provide end-to-end Quality of Service
for applications running on mobile hosts over a hybrid network of
wireless channels and wired backbones. This work enables
applications such as voice, video, and data to be transmitted
seamlessly in a mobile environment.
Aspects of this project
include:
- Prototype of a Wireless testbed implementing QoS.
- Development of a fair scheduling algorithm for
the wireless basestation.
- Mapping of ATM QoS parameters
into the fair scheduling parameters.
- Development of a Linux Device Driver to support Netwave Airsufer
Plus Wireless PC-Cards.
