The High-Speed Measurement lab, located in the Microelectronics Laboratory building, includes a Hewlett Packard 85109C network analyzer and a Cascade Microtech Inc. (CMI)noise parameter test system. Microelectronics Lab researchers use the HP network analyzer to make accurate frequency domain s-parameter measurements at frequencies from 45 MHz to 110 GHz. The CMI system characterizes the low-temperature, high-speed behavior of advanced field effect and heterojunction bipolar transistors.
