Located in the Microelectronics Laboratory, this gas-source molecular beam epitaxy (GSMBE) system is used by researchers to grow InGaAs(P)/InP and InGaP/GaAs heterostructures for high-speed optoelectronic devices based on heterojunction bipolar transistors, quantum well laser diodes, and PIN photodiodes.
